Join us for an inspiring evening at the 2024 Women in Leadership Dinner (formerly FLAME Dinner). This will be a special evening celebrating the dynamic journey of women in leadership within the Christian schools in QLD. As we explore different ‘seasons’ of leadership, this event will feature empowering stories, insightful discussions, and valuable networking opportunities.
Together, through three interviews with female leaders who have impacted CSA schools in different ways, we will explore the transformative power of faith-driven leadership through a variety of seasons of life and career.
This event is open to both CSA members and non-members, with a special discounted price for all members of the CSA QLD community. While we celebrate women in Christian schooling, this event isn’t just for women. We warmly invite men who support and champion women leaders in Christian schools to join us for an inspiring and memorable evening together.
Event Information
This dinner will held at Mueller College. You will be served canapés on arrival, followed by a lovely seat down dinner, with a range of non-alcoholic drinks provided.
Event costs are $70+GST for staff attending from CSA member schools and $85+GST for non-members.

Speakers
Your Host, Katie York
Katie York is currently serving as the Executive Assistant to the Principal at Caloundra Christian College on the Sunshine Coast, a school she once attended as a child. She was profoundly impacted by Christian Education which was a catalyst for her journey to faith. Early in her career, she discovered a gift for administration while working in IT Support for Education Queensland. Later, she was called to serve at C3 Church as a Personal Assistant & IT Manager before returning to education 3 years ago. Katie loves getting things done, preferably with no-code automation and a nice cup of tea.
Special Guest, Margot Pinel
Margot is the founding Principal of Carmichael College. Margot led the school from a start up school through 8 years of significant growth. Margot completed her time at Carmichael at the end of 2022 and has been keeping her connection to Christian schooling by serving for short term periods in local Christian schools.
Special Guest, Michelle Flood
Michelle Flood is currently the Deputy Principal: Operations at Australian Christian College: Moreton. Michelle has held a number of leadership roles at ACC: Moreton, as well as other Christian schools and ministry organisations, and brings a wealth of experience to both her role and educational leadership.
Special Guest, Kerry Hands
Kerry Hands is very familiar to Christian schooling, particularly in Queensland. Kerry has held a number of roles in both Christian schooling and independent schooling in Queensland. Most recently Kerry operated her own consultancy, supporting independent schools in the areas of finance and management. Kerry also serves on the CSA National Council.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing to the Event Organiser. Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued after 14 days out from the event. Any cancellations made after this date will be charged the full registration fee. 'No Shows' to the event will be charged the full registration fee.
The event program is subject to change and we may not be able to provide prior notice.
Please note that registration fees do not include insurance to cover loss of any fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the event or through cancellation of the event itself.
A full refund will be issued if the event is cancelled by the organiser (CSA) due to COVID-19 restrictions or any other reasons out of the organisers control.
