WA Training day for PA and Admin staff

Join PAs and Administration staff from CSA schools in WA for a day of networking and training with:

1) Dave Stevens, CEO of CAPS schools, on how to be an impact player in your school, and

2) The team from Neometric, on;

* role clarity - what is the expectation on admin people to triage / substantively address the conflict

* bringing clarity of shared purpose and values as  the lens for any discussion

* a framework to help bring a confident and helpful posture to these conversations.

 

 

Event Information

This in-person event is ideally suitable for Personal Assistants and all administrative staff in your school.

It is open to staff from member schools.

Registration for the event includes all catering and you will be given an opportunity to specify dietary requirements on registration.

Speakers

Mal Cooke and Heidi Rawson - Neometric

Mal spent many years as a dispute resolution partner in a global commercial law firm, and understands the costs of failing to effectively curate trust and alignment. He is a member of the Law Society of WA, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of Leadership Western Australia and a trained mediator. He has considerable governance experience as both a Chair and Director on NFP boards. Mal draws on each of these perspectives in bringing a relational lens to the organisations Neometric partners with. Mal delivers all of Neometric's legal services.

Heidi's expertise in people and culture, and employment relations brings clarity and focus to your team. She is committed to unlocking solutions that will strengthen relationships. She has worked with high performance teams for many years. Her instinctive empathy and care invites creativity and confidence - key ingredients to resolving conflict and bringing cultural change. Heidi has considerable governance experience, is a trained mediator and is confident bringing systems thinking to organisations of all sizes. Heidi leads Neometric's people and culture capability.

Dave Stevens - CEO CAPS Schools

Dave Stevens now serves as the CEO of CAPS schools in WA. He was previously the Executive Officer for CSA in WA and led the national portfolio of, Modes and Models of Schooling. Dave brings a wealth of knowledge and experience having taught and held leadership roles in a range of schools nationally and internationally. Dave’s knowledge across a broad range of specialist areas, educational sectors and contexts, is evidenced in his ability to develop alternative programs that meet the needs of the students and teachers, whilst addressing the requirements of legislation. His passion for Relational Schools assists all schools in student wellness and retention.

This event is hosted by  Jess Kapitola, Acting Executive Officer, WA.

Qualify for CPD Hours

At the conclusion of this event, a certificate of 3 hours of professional learning,  for self-accreditation, will be made available to participants, via your member dashboard. The event will address the following AITSL standards and Christian Distinctive Focus areas:

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be made in writing to the Event Organiser. Unfortunately, no refunds can be issued after 5 days out from the event. Any cancellations made after this date will be charged the full registration fee. 'No Shows' to the event will be charged the full registration fee. 

Please note that registration fees do not include insurance to cover loss of any fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the event or through cancellation of the event itself. A full refund will be issued if the event is cancelled by the organiser (CSA) due to any reasons out of the organisers control.
